I said many times that back in 1993, when I decided that I wanted to be a pro comic artist/illustrator (and I have not achieved that goal yet u_u) I got intrested in drawing anime-style when I discovered the existence of the anime series which defined my art style of those years: Saint Seiya. I was a big fan of this series, all the satruday mornings, I was there, in front of the tv... And of course, I waited a long time to see the Saint of my Zodiac Sign, Capricorn, kicking some ass. I was impressed because when I first saw this warrior, I not only felt identified with him, but I liked his power a lot: Excalibur, and that fight against Shiryu was just great.

And so, the years passed, and I learned more and more, my art style evolved... and here it is, my personal interpretation of Shura of Capricornus, the most loyal Saint of Athena and Guardian of
the 9th House.

My version is influenced by LOTR universe, Conan the Barbarian, and Luis Royo's work, and the most imprtant: he not only wields the power of Excalibur, he wields Excalibur itself!! I gave the armor a more realistic/barbarian look, and I hope I can design the other 12 golden saints...

Hey one more thing if your willing to draw anime style. Its useless to show current editors drawings of manga genre reason for this is because there scared of people losing interest in those superheros we all became familiar with. I say if u like doing it stick with what u like and don't give up. Editors try to get people to draw what they want like mostly western realism all the time. You should join with people who love your idea and start a group to compete with these guys. Try to establish yourself by making a web comic. Its hard I know but its alot better than getting your stuff dissed all the time. Its also good to fuse art styles together to create your own style.
